I know I shouldnt start off with this but the new Luas which drops you litterally right outside the door of The O2 is great! But anyway back to the main event! Lily Allen! Ok so shes a guilty pleasure but she ticked all the boxes tonight! As she announced to the crowd, mainly full of kids with their parents and then a few "fans" like myself crowding into what looked like a sold out gig, that nowhere else other than Ireland would you get such an enthusiastic Tuesday night crowd. And I got to admit I agreed! The fans went wild as she belted out all her big hits...none of which I know the title to but recognised them all, even the covers she threw in of Britney Spears, The Kooks and The Kaiser Chiefs which culminated into a jam packed 90minute show! As she swaggered her way around the stage turning her back occasionally to the crowd to have a sneaky smoke ( who hands out those fines anyway?) she began pulling pints of Guinness from the nicely set up keg on stage as a thank you for the people who cant get a pint as they are up the front of the stage! Although ultimately it was down to the security as to who got them! All over 18 I am sure! As she finished her set with a nice dedication to Thierry Henry with her song "Fuck You" the crowd went even wilder and she sent home her fans with big smiles on their faces! But remember if you are under 18 do not take her as a role model - she will probably get fined for smoking on stage, someone will complain at how she was not very drink aware and for the language? Well for the parents who brought their kids they just realised what they have been listening too!
